Accessibility statement

As of 17 October 2026

What this is about

CueFlow should be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement applies to the website and the web app at cueflow.de and to the CueFlow apps for iOS and Android. It is based on the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the European standard EN 301 549 (WCAG 2.1 and 2.2, level AA).

How far are we?

CueFlow is partially compliant with these requirements. That means: a lot already works, but not everything. We are aware of the points below.

How we assessed it

This statement is based on a self-assessment, last reviewed on 17 October 2026. It rests on automatic checks of selected pages (sign-in, booking request and this statement) against the axe rules in the light and dark design, an automatic keyboard test of signing in, and a comparison of this statement with the program code. For the apps, automatic tests check that controls have labels for assistive technologies; there has not yet been a complete assessment of the apps. There has not yet been an assessment by an independent body.

What already works

  • Keyboard operation has largely been checked, but not completely: we test signing in automatically using only the keyboard; other paths (for example requesting a booking and answering a request) have not been fully tested yet.
  • We automatically check selected pages for serious errors in contrast, labels and controls, in the light and dark design.
  • The pages work on phones, tablets and computers without horizontal scrolling.
  • Switches, buttons and form fields have labels that screen readers can read.
  • Controls on touch devices are at least 24 by 24 pixels (WCAG 2.2, success criterion 2.5.8).

What doesn’t work well yet

  • The cookie window appears at the bottom of the screen on the first visit. It does not block the page and keeps space free at the bottom, so the end of the page stays reachable. While it is open, however, it covers part of the visible screen.
  • Some buttons and icons are smaller than 44 by 44 pixels (but at least 24 by 24 pixels), for example checkboxes in forms, which are 24 pixels high including their label. This makes them harder to hit on a phone. In the cookie window, “Close” and “Details” are now at least 44 by 44 pixels; the two choice buttons are 40 pixels high on larger screens (from 768 pixels wide), and the link to the privacy policy is part of the sentence.
  • Our checks run automatically. There has not yet been a test with real screen readers by an independent body.
  • Automatic checks only find some of the errors. We have not checked every page by hand. This applies in particular to calendars, maps, charts and the contract editor.
  • Images, videos and documents uploaded by users do not always have a description or subtitles. The people who upload them are responsible for this.
  • The interface is available in German and English. The English legal texts (terms, privacy policy, legal notice) are reading versions; the German version is binding. Texts that users write themselves (profiles, messages, offers) are not translated.

We are working on it and will update this list as soon as something changes.
